




				Introductory Stone Work for Trail Construction (2 days) This workshop will focus on the design and construction of stone structures for various trail applications. The curriculum will cover theory, design considerations, and hands on construction skills. The course will include the following components: Introduction to trail design and layout with a focus on where and why stone structures are needed Selection of appropriate materials Transport of materials Safety Considerations Identifying site specific factors Construction design and placement of stone check steps Construction design and placement of stone water bars Introduction to stone retaining wall design and construction Maintenance of structures Length: 2 days, with 8 hours of instruction per day Participants: Maximum 10 Location: Client will provide area specific site/trail where work and instruction will be conducted. Materials: Client will provide all necessary construction tools and building supplies Pika Consulting will supply all instruction and educational materials. Price: $400 + Transportation Fee (Dependant on location and scheduling)
